This "client first" philosophy has always been our approach and requires us to continually improve our skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I have found that the latest technologies are enabling us to do everything we have always done, only quicker and efficiently. It also helps us extend the range of services we provide to our clients.

As Student Regent, Laura served on numerous University of Houston committees alongside top administrators, including the 2004 UH System Strategic Planning Committee, Designated Tuition and Fee Committee, Campus Facilities and Planning Committee, Administration and Finance Committee, and participated in the Enrollment Task Force.

At UH’s C.T. She graduated from this prestigious program with an Advanced Certificate in Professional Selling. As an active student leader, Laura also served as the Vice President for the Hispanic Business Student Association and Director of Productions for the Frontier Fiesta Association. In May 2005, Laura was awarded her Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a double major in Management and Marketing and a minor in Latin American Studies.

Community service has been such an important factor throughout Laura’s life. She pursued to run for office in the special election race for Texas State Representative, District 143 the day following her graduation. Aside from residing in the district for more than 20 years, she took it upon herself to walk door-to-door to over 4,000 homes to find first-hand the needs of these constituents. Laura successfully made it to the run-off, advancing from 6 candidates. Her passion to serve the people in her community has continued as she incorporates it into the culture of Pruneda Interests.

In 2007, Laura entered into a partnership that established Pruneda Interests, a real estate firm that caters to both residential and commercial clients in the great metropolitan city of Houston, Texas. Laura is currently President of Pruneda Interests where she dedicates herself to find comprehensive solutions to her clients’ real estate needs. She focuses on achieving the best results in both a creative and efficient manner. Laura prides herself on cultivating strong client relations by listening to both their individual and corporate goals.

She is currently a Captain of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Corporate Development Committee where she raises scholarship amounts of $16,000 for our youth to attend at a Texas college or university. Laura also served as the Vice Chairman of Media for HLS&R's Go Tejano Committee  from 2008-2011where she was the liaison between the Latin Media and the HLS&R. She continues to work diligently year-round to inform the community of events and the importance of continuing their education with the opportunity of a HLS&R Scholarship. Not only does she raise money all year long for these students, but she also mentors 8th grade students at McReynolds Middle School through a program established by Taxis Fiesta and Texas Taxis that helps them prepare for college.

Additionally, Laura is a member of the advisory board for the National Hispanic Institute- Houston, an organization that values the talent of Latino youth, the potential they represent to the future of the Latino community and the extended sectors of American society, and provides private community settings through which they may become intellectually, culturally, and socially engaged in determining the roles they wish to play in shaping tomorrow’s world.

Her career began long before she received her degree. Prior to Pruneda Interests, Laura was part of the Moody Rambin Team, a commercial Real Estate firm. Because of her accounting and financial background from Chase Bank, she was able to utilize that experience by working in their Office Property Management and Accounting divisions. She had an active role in the process of all leases within their 32 building management portfolio. Adding to her diverse commercial real estate background, she became a member of the Tenant Representation team where she was able to utilize the experience she brought from being a pharmaceutical sales representative at GlaxoSmithKline by serving the needs of her clients and finding solutions for them.

Aside from her passion of education, serving her community, and incredible work experience, Laura is happily married and is the proud mother of two sons, Jimmy and Eduardo Daniel.
